Summer 2025 Training Opportunities for Child Nutrition Program Professionals
The New York State Education Department (SED) remains committed to supporting Child Nutrition Program operators through high-quality training and technical assistance. While our annual 4-week summer intensive training on professional cooking and managing Child Nutrition Programs has been postponed for 2025, a variety of valuable training opportunities will still be available throughout the summer.

Master Instructor-Led Trainings:
Extensive in-person trainings are available upon request through our Master Instructor Network. These sessions are tailored to meet the needs of local school food service professionals and cover a wide range of operational and culinary topics. Farm to School Regional Meetings:
SED will be coordinating regional Farm to School meetings this summer, which will include hands-on culinary training components. More details, including dates and locations, will be announced soon. -
NEW Learning Management System (LMS):
In the coming months, SED will launch a new Learning Management System designed to provide guided, on-demand trainings. This digital platform will enhance flexibility and access for school nutrition professionals seeking to meet their annual Professional Standards requirements.
