The New York State Education Department (NYSED) has amended the language in the following sections of the Request for Proposals (RFP) # GC17-013 – FY 2016 National School Lunch Program Equipment Assistance Grants for School Food Authorities:

The revised RFP will permit SFAs to apply for an equipment grant(s) on behalf of its eligible Recipient Agencies (RAs), which has been expanded to include RAs that have received a previous grant award through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Food Service Equipment Grant, the FY 2010 Equipment Assistance Grant, the FY 2014 Equipment Assistance Grant, and the FY 2015 National School Lunch Program Equipment Assistance Grant for School Food Authorities.
While previously awarded RAs are eligible through this opportunity, priority will be given to RAs that have not received an equipment grant award in the past. Applications submitted for RAs that have not been awarded equipment grant award will receive an additional ten (10) bonus points toward their overall technical score.
With this revision, NYSED is extending the application deadline to November 2, 2016 to allow SFAs an opportunity to submit additional applications. All other requirements and conditions remain as indicated in the RFP.
If the SFA has already submitted a FS-10 – Proposed Budget for a Federal or State Project for one or more equipment grant applications for this opportunity, it is not necessary to submit another FS-10 to include additional grant requests. NYSED will adjust the FS-10 should the SFA be awarded an equipment grant(s).
